2023 Acolytes Chardonnay
2023 Acolytes Chardonnay, Santa Barbara County
Back in the early 2010s, we fell in love with Santa Barbara County (SBC) for its diverse microclimates and stunning wines. As we continued to dive deeper on our own journey, we started to see that the maritime climate and soils in SBC produce some of the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the world. And while our focus since 2015 has been on the cultivation and production of our estate wines from Our Lady of Guadalupe Vineyard, that changed with the 2023 vintage. Respected neighbors of ours were smitten with the chance to work closely with us; coming from lauded vineyards with the utmost respect in the region, some we have even worked with in the past, there was so much good wine on offer. We couldn’t help ourselves and thus began the project of putting together our own blends that capture the appellation through the lens of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Highlighting Santa Barbara County, Acolytes is born.
Winemaker’s Notes
The 2023 Acolytes Chardonnay shimmers with its medium gold hue in the glass. Floral notes dominate with white jasmine and orange blossom alongside all aspects of a ripe lemon—pith, zest and even meringue. The palate is creamy and round with a ribbon of acidity that keeps the wine fresh. A touch of white apricot and green apple ascend into a lengthy and bright finish.
Composition
Chardonnay
Élevage
Aged for 9 months in neutral French Oak (50%) and stainless steel tank (50%), then tank for an additional 7 months.

Important Information: Price is per bottle, includes CA CRV, and only available to ship in CA.
